Today we welcomed nearly 60 mathematicians from 11 schools to West Hill Park to take part in our Year 4 Maths Challenge. After so long without being able to take part in events such as this due to Covid, it was a welcome sight to see so many schools collaborating and enjoying solving a range of challenges together. These included quick fire numeracy questions, as well as a range of geometric and number reasoning problems, supported by our wonderful Year 8 students who helped to run all of the activities. Our West Hill Park team represented the school very well indeed, with George C and Alexander K coming 1st place overall! Congratulations to the whole team (George C, Zahraa W, Alexander K and Emmeline A) who were determined and enthusiastic throughout!
